Law for Layman
The concept 'law for lay man' is deemed that every man knows his rights and obligations and can seek justice through the law.
The people should have knowledge of law and should have confidence in it. This is all the more necessary in the case of the poor because unfortunately today the poor man is ruled by a legal system which he neither understands nor trusts.
There are hundres of laws passed by parliament and state legislatures. Even a lawyer does not know most of them; he knows only where to look for them. Here we are not substitute for a lawyer but it gives a general idea of the law so that you will understand your situation better when a problem arises. You will not look like an ignorant person when you have to meet a lawyer to discuss your problem.
In a country like ours governed by the rule of law, so it is essential that law must become community property and not remain the monopoly of a profession. We hope and trust that it will promote legal awareness & legal literacy amongst the people particularly amongst the weaker sections of the community.
